TeamSpeak Server Now Open!

The official BlockBox TeamSpeak server is open for business! Now you can enjoy chatting with fellow players (and maybe listen to some music courtesy of Narwhal) even when you aren’t playing Minecraft. We’ve fine-tuned the server for maximum audio quality and you won’t have trouble with the host’s Internet connection like you might with Skype or other software. Sound good? Here’s how to get started:

Get TeamSpeak

First things first, you need to download the TeamSpeak 3 Client software. TeamSpeak is available on all major platforms. Click here and click on the “Free Download” button to download the Teamspeak installer. Run the installer, follow the instructions, and you should have TeamSpeak 3 Client installed. It’s recommended to plug in your microphone before starting TeamSpeak for the first time.

Configure your Audio

When you start TeamSpeak for the first time, you’ll be prompted to enter a nickname and configure your microphone and headphones/speakers. Follow the on-screen instructions and set up TeamSpeak to your liking, just please make sure that your microphone is properly set up or you’ll likely be asked to correct it soon after you join the server.

Join the Server

Once your audio is configured, you can join the server. You can do this one of two ways:

  1. Click Connections > Connect and enter in the Server Address box, then click Connect.
  2. Click Connections > Server List, search for BlockBox, right-click the result and click Connect. Optionally, you can click Add to Bookmarks for easy access later.

Upon joining for the first time, you’ll be asked to improve your security level.

Click Start and wait a moment, and you’ll be connected once the improvement process completes.

That’s it! You’re now on the official BlockBox TeamSpeak server. Make sure to follow the rules, and enjoy!

Happy Crafting (and chatting),
